Sovereignty through Grief
Sovereignty through Grief is a twelve-month journey that invites readers deeper into their own grief for the purposes of processing loss and rebuilding the foundation of their lives. The work is appropriate for a wide-range of losses including deaths, divorces, career changes, ecological grief, and ambiguous losses such as diagnoses.
While designed to begin in the month of September, readers can begin the book at any time. Each month, readers consider three actions that support the month’s theme. The themes draw inspiration from nature, moving deeper into grief in the months leading up to the winter solstice, and then supporting rebuilding in the months that follow, concluding with a harvest inspired by the abundance of summer.
Each chapter ends with reflection questions to help readers process how the theme might apply in their own situation. Chapters are brief, around ten pages, making the book a gentle companion. The work is ideal for group settings such as book clubs and grief groups. While the work encourages readers to consider how their experience of loss shapes their own beliefs, the book is appropriate for people of any faith background, including atheists and agnostics.
As the work is meant to be read slowly over one year’s time, the hardback version has been printed on the highest quality materials including a gold-foiled FSC certified, vegan cover made of Wibalin Natural paper from Winter and Co. with silk interior pages and a ribbon bookmark.
The work can be purchased alone or as part of Grief Care, a 12-month coaching program. This page is for the purchase of the book alone. To join Grief Care (which includes a copy of the book), please click here.
